Did You Know? The Métis first flew their flag of infinity during the Battle of Seven Oaks, on June 19, 1816. Programs First Nations and Métis Women’s InitiativeUnder the First Nations and Metis Women’s Initiative, First Nations and Métis Relations enables provincial Aboriginal women's organizations to undertake special projects and policy development activities of benefit to their respective memberships. First Nations and Métis Relations works with the Saskatchewan First Nations Women's Commission and the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Women's Circle Corporation to administer the initiative. Funding for provincial organizations enables First Nations and Métis women to address priority issues such as family violence, child abuse, health care, education, housing, justice, and social development.
