Did You Know? The Saskatchewan Indian Cultural Centre was created by the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians in Saskatoon in September 1970. It offered classes in Indian history and the Cree language, and began collecting tapes of stories told by Indian elders. What's New The new year brings a new focus for the First Nations and Métis Consultation Participation Fund! As of January 16, 2012, First Nations and Métis entities interested in applying for funding to support consultations related to project specific activities on provincial Crown lands where a Treaty or Aboriginal right may be adversely affected, are encouraged to get their applications in early.
